Privacy Policy
Effective August 12, 2026 · PlatePicked is in beta.
PlatePicked ("we", "us") plans weekly dinners and shopping lists. This page explains what we collect and what we do with it, in plain language. Questions: hello@platepicked.com.
What we collect
- Email address — to create your account (we sign you in with emailed codes, no passwords) and to email you your weekly plan.
- Food preferences and settings — dietary needs, liked categories, servings, budget, shopping day, saved recipes, ratings, and plans. This is the product working, not profiling for anyone else.
- Basic technical data — the kind any website receives (IP address, browser type) via our hosting provider's logs.
What we do NOT do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information. Ever.
- We do not run advertising or third-party tracking cookies. The only cookies we use keep you signed in.
- We do not collect health or medical information. Dietary preferences are used only to filter meal suggestions.
Who touches your data
Your data lives with the service providers that run PlatePicked: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), and Resend (email delivery), all processing it on our behalf in the United States. When paid plans launch, payments will be handled by Stripe — we will never see or store your card number.
We send sign-in codes and, once the feature ships, your weekly plan email. Non-essential emails will always include an unsubscribe link. We honor unsubscribes immediately.
Your choices
- You can see and change your preferences in the app at any time.
- You can ask us to delete your account and everything tied to it by emailing hello@platepicked.com (an in-app delete button is coming). We delete within 30 days.
- California residents: you have the right to know, access, and delete your personal information. Use the same email. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.
Children
PlatePicked is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will note it here and, for significant changes, email you. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
